MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Madison Police have made an arrest in a Monday night armed robbery at a home in the Cypress Lake subdivision.

Twenty-two year old Drodriquez Williams of 615 Benning Road, in Jackson, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

Williams is being held in the Madison County Detention Center, without bond, pending an initial appearance.

Madison Police Department got a call at 11:45 p.m., stating that there had been an armed robbery at a home in the Cypress Lake subdivision.

The caller told police that when he and his wife arrived home, they were met in the garage by 3 armed suspects.

The caller also said that his car was stolen on April 25 and was later recovered. He told police that he feels that both incidents are related and that the suspects might have retrieved his home address from the stolen vehicle.

Police say that the items stolen from the victims included an undetermined amount of cash, credit cards, wallet and cell phone.

Cypress Lake Subdivision Homeowners Association President John Reeves says, "Our neighborhood is perfectly safe.  Madison Police acted superbly, they were there within 30 seconds.  The son of the homeowner was there and called police.  That kind of police service is unheard of.   There is one person in custody.  There are two out there.  They'll get them and they will be brought to justice."

The suspects left the area in a white 2005 Nissan Maxima with a  Hinds County plate. It was located in the 200 block of McDowell Park Circle in Jackson.

The investigation is ongoing.
