RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

According to Court Services in Rankin County, Cregg Puckett is out of jail on a $50,000 bond.

Yesterday, Rankin County District Attorney Michael Guest confirmed that Cregg Puckett was indicted by a grand jury for attempted murder.

Puckett is accused of shooting a man multiple times in a property line dispute back in March of this year.

Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey says 31-year-old Puckett shot Thomas Presley at the pond that lies on part of Puckett's land in the 2000 block of Florence Byram Road. Witnesses say Puckett became angry when Presley refused to stay off his property.
