Several arrested after shoot out in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg Police made several arrests Friday, where two homes and vehicles were found riddled by gunfire.

Police said the indent occurred before 5 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of First North Street.

Investigators said two occupied homes and two vehicles were struck during a shoot out between several individuals.

Authorities said no injuries were reported.

Police did recover at least three weapons and numerous shell casings at the crime scene.

All suspects were transported to the Issaquena County Jail. They are expected to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday.

Those arrested were Ambus Wallace, 29, Ellis Wilson, 38, Jimmy Hill, 26, and 29-year-old Justin Williams.

All four men were all charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and shooting into a vehicle.

Wallace, Wilson, and Williams were also charged with two counts of attempted aggravated assault.

Hill was charged with four counts of attempted aggravated assault.

Investigators expect more arrests will follow.
