JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Lauderdale County authorities say Debra Boyd Donald is charged with kidnapping her grandson and has been taken into custody in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She is awaiting extradition to Mississippi.

Eleven-year-old Tyreon Brim went missing Wednesday morning after a home invasion and robbery in Lauderdale County. Investigators say two men approached the child's home and when the babysitter opened the door, the men rushed in.

The babysitter was hit with a weapon, robbed, and then the boy was taken.

The child was found safe in Bogalusa and his grandmother was arrested. Investigators have not identified the men who are considered her co-conspirators.
