This week turned tragic for many of us in Mississippi and other states with an outbreak of violent tornados. Dozens of people were killed. Many more are hurting. And so much property has been lost or destroyed.
In times like these, we often feel helpless. But good people always step up. People like 34 year old Ruth Bennett, a daycare owner who died while clutching and protecting the last child remaining in her day care center in Louisville.
We can't all be there like Ruth was to protect a young life. But we can help. Like so many helped this region after Katrina, we can now help others by supporting the agencies and emergency responders who are there in the aftermath as the survivors rebuild their lives.
