Authorities investigate fire at state fire academy in Pearl

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Pearl firefighters are trying to determine what caused a fire at a dormitory at the State Fire Academy in Pearl.

We are told workers were trying to repair hail damage to the roof from Monday's storms, when something ignited.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

There was mostly smoke damage and some structural damage.

We are told no one was injured.
