BENNDALE, MS (WLOX) -

The lights are back on for most South Mississippians who lost power overnight. Singing River Electric crews have been busy restoring outages from lightning and high wind. About 300 members were still without power by 11am Tuesday.

SRE also sent a seven-man crew to Waynesboro, Mississippi, to assist Dixie Electric in their effort to quickly restore power to that area. The crew is set to return Tuesday afternoon, should the severe weather repeat.
