Beautiful weekend, storms next week

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Temperatures drop into the mid-50s in the Upstate and mid-40s across western North Carolina overnight as skies remain mostly clear. Sun will stick around for one more day before clouds roll in.

Sunday will be warmer than Saturday as mostly sunny skies help temperatures warm into the mid 80s for the Upstate and low 80s in the mountains. This will be about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Clouds will increase Monday and showers will return to the forecast as well as a few possible storms. We will be under a slight risk of severe weather for Monday. With plenty of moisture funneling in from the Gulf of Mexico, Thunderstorms will be possible for Monday as well as late Tuesday into Wednesday.
