MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

First responders are holding a safety awareness day on Saturday in Muhlenberg County.

The event will be held at the downtown courthouse in Greenville.

Organizers say this event is meant to increase safety awareness for everything from fire to bike safety, and even will offer fingerprinting for local kids, "Services have decided to come together, with all the tragedy and everything that's happened in our community within the last year, we all wanted to come together and offer something back to the community," said Troy Walker, Muhlenberg Co. EMS.

The event is completely free.

Organizers say they are offering some big door prizes, including a 50 inch flat screen TV.
