Charter Bank names new VP of commercial lending

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Charter Bank has a new vice president of commercial lending focused on the Gulfport and Harrison County market.

Russell Young was most recently Associate Vice President for Development and Executive Director of the MGCCC Foundation. He also served as the Executive Director for System Advancement for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System in Baton Rouge, LA.

"We are excited to have Russell join our Charter Bank team," said Greg Cronin, president and CEO. "Russell has developed strong relationships in the market and his extensive experience in commercial underwriting brings great value to our banking team."

Russell is from Columbus, MS, He has an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University. In 2013, Russell completed all of his coursework for his Ph. D in higher education administration with a minor in Community College Leadership at The University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently writing his dissertation.
