D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Demolition crews hit a snag Wednesday while tearing down an old vacant building in D'Iberville. City Manager Bobby Eleuterius tells WLOX News crews hit the sprinkler system in the old Kroger building on D'Iberville Boulevard.
As we first reported Monday, the 30 year old building is coming down so a Walmart neighborhood market can be built in that spot.
Eleuterius said when the sprinkler system was hit, crews had a hard time shutting off the water because the building is so old. By the time it was turned off, the parking lot had flooded. The water is expected to drain away.
