COLUMBUS, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A couple sought in nationwide Amber Alert were captured in Sylvester, Georgia just after midnight on Thursday, but will soon be headed back to Mississippi.

34-year-old Donald Harris and 31-year-old Allison Studdard and Maliah were traveling in a 2002 Pontiac Aztec.

Police officials in Georgia say an officer pulled over the vehicle on Highway 82 in Sylvester, GA.

The Lowndes County Chief Deputy Marc Miley says 2-year-old Maliah Harris disappeared with her parents after her 7-month-old sister, Alyssa, was found dead.

They have waived extradition and will be brought back to Mississippi as soon as Friday.

So far they face felony drug charges and, as the investigation continues, more charges could be filed.

The siblings' grandfather discovered Alyssa's body about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the home in the Caledonia area, and called 911.

That's when the parents left with the 2-year-old girl.

Authorities say they found drugs, meth and ice, inside the home during their investigation.

Following an autopsy of Alyssa, the coroner said the 7-month-old child had no visible signs of injury.

Since the autopsy did not reveal a preliminary cause of death the state medical examiner will now study tissue and toxicology samples to find out how the girl died.
