ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Crews are working to repair a water main leak in Anderson Tuesday, which may cause some delays and detours for drivers.

The leak is located at East Greenville Street near the intersections of Liddell Street and Haley Road, according to city officials.

Because of the repair work, crews have closed traffic lanes coming into Anderson, detouring traffic through the median.

Crews are also replacing water lines along Haley Road.

According to the city, the repairs are expected to last through the morning and congestion may continue longer because of construction in the area, but it is not expected to interrupt water service.
