Police: Woman tried running over husband in church parking lot

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say a Fort Campbell woman tried running over her husband in a church parking lot right after Easter services on Sunday.

The incident happened at First Baptist Church St. Bethlehem in Clarksville.

The woman's husband said he refused to get in the car because his wife had been scaring him.

He started to walk away, which is when he says Sarai Longhenry turned the car toward him and hit the gas.

The car went up the curb, and he jumped into the trees to get away.

Military police later showed up at the couple's house, and Longhenry was charged with aggravated assault.
