HAZLEHURST, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two fires were set inside the Hazlehurst Walmart Monday evening. Chief Byron Swilley says officers found some type of paper and matches in two different areas of the store.

He says fires were set in the toy section and a clothing section and customers were evacuated from the store.

Chief Swilley says there were no injuries.

"The store is not going to open anymore today," said Chief Swilley. "It's going to be a process of cleaning up. This was a mischievous act of arson. And we're working very aggressively to find the ones responsible for doing this act here."

Chief Swilley says investigators and Walmart employees are reviewing surveillance video searching for the person or persons who set the fires.
