MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) - The family of 4-year-old Maxximus Sales is remembering him fondly as they make plans to lay him to rest.

The little boy was the center of attention wherever he went, according to his family. They say even though his life was short, it was rich.

A cell phone video shown to WMC Action News 5's Justin Hanson shows Maxximus doing what he loved best ... dancing. Now, his family says he is dancing in heaven.

Maxximus was one of six people taken to hospitals after a crash that involved 10 vehicles in Raleigh on Wednesday.

The driver responsible for the crash died at the scene.

Maxximus' aunt, Kiffany Brown, works near the crash site. She was there moments after it happened.

"Just a senseless loss of life on both sides," she said. "So, two families are suffering, grieving. You never expect to bury your child or niece or nephew before yourself."

Maxximus is remembered for his love of super heroes. He touched everyone who met him.

"Whether you knew him or not, he'd touch you. It's not about dancing or anything, he was real special," said his father, Sherrod Sales.

Sales says his son's death should serve as a lesson to us all.

"I don't care about money or anything like that," he said. "I just care about everybody coming close together, spending more time with family."

If you would like to donate money to help his family, a fund has been set up at their church.

Donations can be mailed to the following address care of Maxximus Sales Memorial Fund:

Raleigh Assembly of God
3683 Austin Peay Highway
Memphis, TN 38128

The funeral service for Maxximus Sales will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, April 26. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., followed by a service at 10 a.m.
