ELGIN, AZ (CBS5) -

Fire officials say a lightning-caused blaze that charred an estimated 600 acres on a large ranch in southeastern Arizona is now fully contained.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said the fire about three miles southeast of Elgin and northwest of Fort Huachuca was contained as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

Sonoita-Elgin Fire District Battalion Chief Kevin Venos said the O'Donnell Fire doubled in size on Saturday night when the wind shifted during a burnout operation in O'Donnell Canyon.

Fire officials said no structures were threatened.
