Several Jackson streets affected by boil water alert

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Several streets in Jackson are under a boil water alert.

The streets included in the alert are Old Jackson Road, Old Jackson Extension, Ford Road, Walker Road and South Jackson Road.

Also included are Saddlebrook Trail, Taylor Drive, Terrell Drive, Terry Road, Wynndale Lake Road and Brantley Drive.

The notice affects about 300 well water connections on Jackson's south side.

A loss in pressure from a water main repair led to the boil water alert.

Affected customers are asked to boil their water for at least one minute before using it.
