Power, transformer failure closes Collierville plant

(WMC-TV) - A power/transformer failure is the reason for a Carrier Corporation plant closure in Collierville Wednesday.

According to a Carrier Corporation spokesman, second shift workers should not show up to work Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The first shift employees were sent home.

As of Wednesday evening, the blown transformer was fixed. The plant will be back up and running for their first shift starting at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Employees can call the Carrier Human Resources hotline at 901-854-2481 for updates.
