Skatepark to become a soundstage; Rollergirls left 'homeless'

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A deal is in the works to turn the Harrison County Skatepark on Debuys Road into a soundstage for film production. Harrison County Board of Supervisors President Marlin Ladner told WLOX News the county is in negotiations with Mississippi Gulf Coast Studios right now.

But this impending deal means the Mississippi Rollergirls will have to find a new place to practice.

Vice President of the team Ashey Adams said Thursday from 6pm to 8pm will be the team's last practice at the skatepark, and they're inviting friends and supporters of the team to attend. Adams said the team is now looking for a new place to practice and play their last four games of the season.
