Woman jumps out of the way as a car drives into her home

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

An Ocean Springs woman is lucky to be unharmed after a driver lost control of his car and drove straight into her home.

Kallie Kennedy told WLOX News she was standing on her porch when she heard a sliding sound. She then noticed an Altima heading straight towards her.

"I jumped out of the way because it wasn't stopping and it ran straight into my living room through my house."

The accident happened on Ogden Avenue around 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver of the vehicle told us he was driving in a very heavy downpour and the vehicle hydroplaned. He said he lost control of the car and ran through the front yard then into the living room and kitchen.

No one was injured in the accident.

We live in a wonderful time. We have the capability of instant communication with almost anyone at any time; all in the palm of our hands. We can stay connected to everyone all the time which is great - most of the time. There are times when we need to put aside our smart phones and do our jobs.
