LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) -

A teen was arrested on terrorizing charges after allegedly pulling out a stun gun on someone in a movie theater and threatening to go get a firearm.

The Lafayette Police Department said Hunter Branam, 19, of Broussard, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon.

Cpl. Paul Mouton reported witnesses told investigators a man walked up to a woman in the auditorium and asked her to stop texting. According to reports, Branam jumped up and started arguing with the man.

Witnesses reportedly added Branam then pulled out a stun gun and turned it on. They also told police he stated, "I'm going get my gun," and walked out.

Mouton said people ran out and found a manager, who then called police. He added responding officers found the stun gun in a bathroom, but did not find a firearm.

Branam was booked on charges of terrorizing and disturbing the peace. His bond was set at $5,000.
