Pascagoula Reserve Unit Called To Duty

A Pascagoula Army Reserve Unit has been called to active duty.

Members of the 412th Replacement Company received mobilization orders earlier this week. Much of the company's equipment and vehicles were loaded up and transported last week.

The 40 man unit is made up mostly of personnel specialists.

Sgt. Alfred Lee with the 412th Replacement Company says, "The Replacement Company's role is to process soldiers when they get into theater, whether they're going to Kuwait, Afghanistan, wherever the port is when the soldiers arrive in country. We ship them further down into the war zone."

Saturday family members will host a farewell ceremony for the soldiers.
