HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The coast law enforcement community is in mourning after learning one of their own died Monday.
Retired Harrison County Deputy Jimmy Esposito passed away from a heart condition. Last year, he took medical retirement because of the condition. Esposito's fellow deputies rallied around him raising money for his family, all the while hoping their friend would receive the heart transplant he desperately needed.
Esposito was a K9 officer for the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. He joined that department in 2008 after serving 16 years as a Hancock County deputy. He leaves behind a wife, two children, and two step-children.
