BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Biloxi man was arrested Friday and charged with sexual exploitation of children and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Biloxi Police Department Sergeant Donnie Dobbs said Bruce Kearney Burks, 56, was initially arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor after investigators found that he had purchased a bus ticket for a 16-year-old runaway in Illinois. Dobbs said the teen was on the bus heading to Biloxi to come live with Burks when he was recovered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to authorities, after Burks' arrest, investigators found sexually explicit texts and several images of nude teenage boys on his cell phone. Dobbs said Burks had created fake Facebook and KIK Messenger profiles saying he was a teenage boy in order to make contact with other teens.

Burks is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $51,410 bond.
