Vicksburg police apprehend burglary, pawning suspect

VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg police have apprehended the suspect responsible for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of tools and pawning them.

On Thursday at 9:20 pm, Spencer Griffin, 24, was arrested on an outstanding warrant by investigator Curtis Judge while at Wal Mart located in Vicksburg.

Griffin was wanted for burglary and receiving stolen property. The arrest stems from a complaint filed in February 2014 by a homeowner.

Griffin is accused of stealing over $600 in tools and pawning them at a local pawn shop.

Griffin is expected to appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday.
