SAUCIER, MS (WLOX) - Hundreds of volunteers came out to Fallen Oak early Sunday morning for the final round of Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.
But, 30 minutes before the first groups tees off, tournament organizers told everybody to clear the course. With severe weather heading toward Fallen Oak, a weather delay was issued.
Volunteers packed into the volunteer tent and waited for the storm to pass.
The Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic is scheduled to start at 9:30. But, with heavy rain falling, that could be pushed back.
Once final round action begins, Billy Andrade will step to the tee as the overnight leader. He's a stroke ahead of a group that includes Fred Couples.
