Hot Dang Apple Pie
6 c. sliced granny smith apples
2 c. sliced red delicous apples
1 T. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1/8 t. nutmeg
1/8 t. ginger
1 c. sugar
2 oz. Cinnamon Schnapps
1/2 c. butter
2 ready made pie crusts
Mix cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and sugar together. Pour over sliced apples to coat. Place apples in a pie shell lined with one of the crusts. Pour cinnamon Schapps over apples. Dot 1/4 c. of butter over apples. Place second crust over apples and crimp the edges. Make a few slices in the top crust to vent. Place pie on a foil covered baking sheet. Make a strip of foil to go around the edges to prevent burning. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. When the top crust reaches a golden brown, place a loose piece of foil over the pie. So not seal. Continue baking until done.
