D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Crime stayed at a minimum Sunday afternoon in D'Iberville for the North Bay Mardi Gras Association parade. Police Chief Wayne Payne said the parade was a total success.
Payne said officers made 11 arrests, all were misdemeanors. Two people were arrested for disorderly conduct, six for public intoxication and three people were arrested for possession of marijuana.
Payne said his department's Juvenile Enforcement Team wrote nine underage drinking citations and only one citation for juvenile tobacco possession.
Payne said the work of his officers in coordination with neighboring agencies made the day a success.
"With the cooperation of our fellow law enforcement agencies and various departments within the city, this parade was a success. I can't thank them enough," said Payne.
