Brandon man accused of possessing child pornography

BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Attorney General Jim Hood announced today that a Brandon man has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

Investigators with the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit arrested 19-year-old Justin Lee Goldsmith of Brandon Wednesday and charged him with one count of child exploitation/possession of child pornography. 

Goldsmith was booked into the Rankin County Detention Center.  According to officials, if convicted, he faces up to 40 years behind bars.

The Attorney General's Office is unable to release any details on the alleged crime at this time. We will update you with more information as it becomes available to us.
