Waveland Elem. off lockdown after BB gun fired; 2 arrested

WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) -

Waveland Elementary School spent Friday morning on lockdown after reports of gunfire in the area.

Waveland Police Chief David Allen said officers have arrested two juveniles who live in the area and do not go to the school. Allen said they had shot a car in the drop off line with a BB gun.

The school went on lockdown immediately after the shots. By noon, everything was back to normal.

They juveniles face misdemeanors charges because of a city statute of not shooting BB guns inside the city. No one was injured.
