Three arrested in Statesboro apartment on drug related charges

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

The Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team arrested three men on drug charges Tuesday after investigators looked into suspected drug activity in the 111 South Apartment complex on Rucker Lane in Statesboro.

An investigation led to the issuance of arrest warrants for Zane Patrick Cobb, 21, on sale of marijuana. When investigators served the warrant, they located and arrested Cobb and found other drugs and drug related objects in his apartment.

Lavelle Ronnie Lawton, 19, and Curtis John Hamlett, 24, were also arrested at the apartment.

Cobb was charges with three counts of sale of marijuana, three counts of unlawful use of communications facilities, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence.

Lawton was charged with use of possession of a drug related object.

Hamlett was charged with possession of a schedule four controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

All three were transported to the Bulloch county Jail and all posted bond.
