Business owner speaks on anti-gay bill

Posted: Updated:

The Arizona governor will soon decide whether to veto a bill critics say would allow businesses to deny service to gay people based on their religious beliefs. Georgia lawmakers are considering a similar bill.

One Thomasville business owner says even if it passes, she would never discriminate against anyone. Sistah's, a soul food religious based restaurant, has been owned and operated by 4 sisters for 2 years. They say they welcome everyone and will continue to do so no matter what law allows.

"God said love as I have loved you,we don't infuse our own understanding in that, he cautions us not to do that, so what we do is, if you come through those doors and want to eat, we serve you," said owner Gloria Taylor.

A similar bill was recently shot down in Kansas.
