Forrest Williams is the new head football coach at Long Beach High School

LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - Forrest Williams is best remembered for developing an aerial assault at St. Stanislaus High School for three seasons.

In 2009 Williams guided the Rockachaws to the Class 4A State Championship with the help of record-setting quarterback Dylan Favre.  St. Stanislaus posted a 14-1 record in 2009.

After three seasons and three consecutive trips to the state playoffs Williams resigned an accepted the head coaching job at Madison Ridgeland Academy.

He guided the Patriots to a 24-14 won-loss record and three straight playoff appearances.  After the 2013 season Williams announced that he was stepping down to seek another opportunity.

That opportunity landed Williams at Long Beach High School.  The Bearcats haven't fared that well on the gridiron and if anybody can build the Long Beach football program into a competitive team, it's Williams.

Spring football drills at Long Beach should be interesting.

Long Beach selected a qualified coach who is a proven winner.  Over the last six years as a head coach, six trips to the state playoffs and one State Championship.

His record says it all!
