Krewe of Nereids to start at 2:45 this afternoon

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -

Due to the rain, the 47th Annual Krewe of Nereids parade in Hancock County will begin at 2:45 p.m. instead of 1 p.m.

The parade begins at the intersection of Drinkwater and Highway 90 in Bay St. Louis (in front of the Bay St. Louis Governmental Annex Bldg) then rolls west ending at Auderder Street & Highway 90 in Waveland (disbanding in front of West End Restaurant). The parade will travel westbound towards Waveland in the eastbound lane - one straight route - from the Bay to Waveland.

An estimated 30,000 people attend the parade each year.
