Hundreds gather to remember Bailey APAC student

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

As a family mourns the loss of their son, a community helps them remember the life he lived.

Hundreds turned out to hear stories of student Darius Willington last night at Bailey APAC Middle School. Fellow students remembered the 14-year-old as an athlete and a joker saying he inspired so many.

Willington died Monday afternoon after tryout practice.

The Hinds County Coroner says Willington died of natural causes stemming from a heart condition.
