High School Classic Exhibition tomorrow is just the latest example of the rise in opportunities for teens to compete on the lakes. High school anglers from five states will get to weigh in on the same Alabama stage as the pros in this weekend's Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say a murder suspect from Memphis has been arrested in Chicago.
The U.S. Marshals Service says Sydney Jackson was charged in January with first-degree murder in the shooting of Corteras Wilbourn in Memphis.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee, Illinois and Iowa are receiving a grant to increase public safety by sharing criminal justice information. The National Governors Association says state-level reforms aimed at reducing recidivism, lowering corrections costs and improving safety may not work as well if states don't have a good way of sharing corrections information with each other.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say the mother of a 12-year-old disabled Tennessee girl who died from gangrene and infected bedsores has been arrested in New Orleans. The U.S. Marshals Service says Raven Ruth was arrested Wednesday by a fugitive task force.
