Michael's Forecast: Strong to severe storms moving in tonight - WLOX.com - The News for South Mississippi

Strong storm system moves through Miss. tonight

Central Mississippi is under a Tornado Watch effective until 1 a.m. Friday.

Damaging straight line wind is the primary severe threat, but a few lower end intensity tornadoes are certainly a possibility, especially within any storm that develops out ahead of the main line; clearing and turning cooler later tonight as the storms ends. Lows drop to near 40.

Sunshine returns Friday, but temperatures will run nearly 20 degrees cooler than today, with afternoon highs in the 60s.

Tune in to FOX 40 News at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. tonight on WLBT for more information about the incoming storm system.
