High School basketball tournament scores

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The St. Martin Yellow Jackets defeated Ocean Springs 79-45 in the Division 8-6A Tournament at St. Martin High School.  Biloxi knocked off D'Iberville 63-43.  The Indians will face St. Martin in the boys championship game 7:30 Friday night.

Biloxi and St. Martin girls both advanced to the Division 8-6A final set for 6 p.m. Friday night.  The Lady Indians defeated D'Iberville 46-39 while St. Martin cruised to a 55-19 win over Ocean Springs.

Hattiesburg High School is hosting the Division 7-6A Tournament. In boys action Gulfport defeated Hancock 57-39 and Hattiesburg eliminated Harrison Central 63-48.  The Admirals and Tigers clash Friday at 7:30.

The Harrison Central Red Rebelettes posted a 39-27 win over Gulfport to eliminate the Lady Admirals from the title chase.  Harrison Central and home standing Hattiesburg meet Friday night at 6 in the title game.

At the Division 7-5A Tournament at West Harrison High School the home standing Hurricanes defeated Long Beach.  Picayune used a second half surge to roll past Stone 69-54.  The Hurricanes and Maroon Tide meet in the boys title game Friday night at 7:30.

On the girls side of the bracket, West Harrison beat Long Beach 64-43 and Picayune needed double-overtime to take out Stone 65-61.  The Lady Canes and Lady Tide play Friday night at 6.

Pascagoula is hosting the Division 8-5A Tournament and the Panthers jumped out to a 39-0 first quarter lead over East Central before coasting to a 72-26 victory over the Hornets.

The Panthers take a 14-game win streak against Gautier in the 7:30 p.m. Friday showdown. The Gators beat George County 49-30.

Division 8-5A girls Pascagoula had no problem with East Central 63-14 and Gautier beat George County 34-21 setting up a 6 p.m. clash Friday in the title game.

Bay High School is the site of the Division 8-4A Tournament.  The Bay High Tigers took out Poplarville 48-35 and Pass Christian advanced with a 68-35 victory over Vancleave.

Bay High faces a tough challenge Thursday night hosting Moss Point.  The Tigers from Jackson County are led by All-American Devin Booker, the future Kentucky Wildcat. The Moss Point-Bay High game is set for 5:30 Thursday.

Pass Christian and St. Stanislaus meet Thursday night at 8:30.

Poplarville won the Division 8-4A playoff game with Vancleave 30-24.  The Lady Hornets face an uphill battle, a date with defending 4A State Champion Bay High Thursday afternoon at 4.

The Pass Christian Lady Pirates and the Moss Point Lady Tigers meet Thursday night at 7.

The Division 8-4A girls title game is set for 7 p.m. Friday in the Bay, the boys championship game will be played Friday night at 8:30.
