Pedestrian hit in early morning hit and run identified

The pedestrian hit by a minor in an early morning hit and run has been identified by police.

D'Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne said 42-year-old Troy Harrison of D'Iberville was hit by a passing vehicle on Highway 67 at Lamey Bridge Road early Sunday morning.

A Harrison County Sheriff's deputy was able to stop the suspect's truck on Highway 67.

Authorities said a juvenile driver has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

Officials say Harrison was transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL where he remains in critical condition..
