FULTON, AR (KSLA) -

The search for a missing Little River county woman continued from the air on Saturday.

Janis Northcross and Ricky Norwood jumped off the Interstate 30 bridge February 8 to avoid being hit by an 18-wheeler.  Norwood swam to safety but Northcross is still missing.

Larry Pritchett, Miller County Office of Emergency Management, and Don Ruggles, helicopter pilot from Texarkana, searched from the air Saturday morning for more than 2 hours trying to locate the woman.  They searched more than 10 miles of the river before suspending the search.  "We went almost to Garland City, Arkansas.  We searched diligently, we had eyes on the water for about 2 hours this morning", said Pritchett.

"I feel like it is a citizens duty, especially mine having helicopter access, to help the counties which I have helped Bowie and Miller County and I have helped Hempstead county for many, many years searching lost victims or lost children', Ruggles said.

"We are just not successful in our attempts to locate this lady.  I feel bad but it is not that we haven't tried.  We have done everything possible to locate this lady", Pritchard said.

Over the next few weeks, Pritchett says the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will visit the river on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in hopes of locating Northcross.
