Valentine's Day dinner package winners announced

ATLANTA (CBS46) -

The results are in for our Valentine's Day dinner giveaway. More than 3,200 people entered the contest and CBS Atlanta News has selected two couples at random to dine at The Capital Grille and Aria in Buckhead on Friday, Feb. 14.

Seema Sharan of Jonesboro will be dining at The Capital Grille and Denice Lupcke of Smyrna will be dining at Aria on Valentine's Day.

Both restaurants will provide the winning couples with a special dinner valued at up to $250.

To make the evening even more special, Cooper-Global Chauffeured Transportation is going to pick up each couple in a stretch limo at their homes and take them to and from the restaurants.

CBS Atlanta's Adam Murphy came up with the idea and put the package together to give each couple an incredible night on the town at some of Atlanta's best restaurants.

"These two restaurants are known for their ambiance and good health inspection scores. I wanted to give the winners the royal treatment," Murphy said.

The winners had a great time. Here's what they had to say:

Hey Adam,

Here is a pic we took. Still trying to find more that look good since the lighting wasn't perfect. We had so much fun at the restaurant and they took some pics of us and printed them out.

My husband loved the lobster mac and cheese and for me the filet mignon and creme brulee was incredible!

Thanks,

Seema

Dear Adam,

Attached are two collages of our amazing "date" night pictures.

Words really do not convey how blessed and thankful we are to have been selected for this special romantic Valentine's evening. Getting the phone call about this amazing prize sure made homemade pizza and an old movie sound sort of boring.

It was magical.

Pretty sure the only way to travel in Buckhead on Valentine's evening is via limousine. What a joy it was to simply sit back and just enjoy each other and the passing scenery instead of stressing about the best route to travel to avoid traffic and other stressed out drivers.

Aria pretty much topped our best dining experience to date. Everything was just amazing. From being greeted when we entered, to beautiful decor, the excellent service and the delicious food. Some courses were so artfully arranged, it seemed a pity to eat them; needless to say, we quickly got over that "problem".

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this will be a date to remember. Thank you so much for making this night possible for us. As I mentioned when I last spoke with you, sometimes life can be a challenge and then something unexpected, so undeserved comes along to make you know everything will be alright ... we are both just so grateful for this evening of romance.

Thank you Adam!

Your loyal fans,

David and Denice Lupcke

14 years as part of the Ole Miss football program as a coach or player has prepared Matt Luke for this opportunity. Admittedly it doesn't come under the circumstances he might've envisioned. The Pascagoula Panthers open the 2017 football season on the road. In fact, their first three games are road contests. That scheduling quirk may give field turf crews just enough time to get War Memorial Stadium ready for the September 8 home opener. The wet weather in South Mississippi is placing quite the burden on construction workers as they attempt to complete stadium renovations. The project was suppose to be finished before the beginning of Pascagoula's football season.
