HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Huntsville-Madison County Rescue Squad will be marking unoccupied cars left during the winter storm.

Caution tape will be placed on any unoccupied vehicle left on the side of the road. This will signal to other emergency responders that the vehicle has already been checked.

If you see a car marked with caution tape, you are asked to not call 911. This will help prevent unnecessary emergency response from EMS, Fire & Rescue and further allow the allocation of resources to those who actually need it.
