LOUISA, VA (WWBT) -

Louisa prosecutors are trying to make a link between the Captain Kevin Quick case and a woman arrested on unrelated charges.

Shantai Shelton is being held without bond on unrelated charges. She was picked up in Alexandria along with her brother, Daniel Mathis and sister, Mersadies Shelton. However, she has not been charged in connection with the case.

During a bond hearing Tuesday, the Commonwealth's Attorney said Shantai Shelton is a flight risk and alleged she was picked up in Quick's SUV in Louisa and taken to Alexandria. He also claimed she coordinated with a street gang to take her out of the area.
