LIST: Weather closures, cancellations

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Weather-related closures have been scheduled for this week due to the winter weather conditions. The following list is updated as we receive closure information into the newsroom.

CLOSURES & STATUS UPDATES FOR FRIDAY:

CSRA EOA Inc., Head Start Centers in the following counties will be closed on Friday, Feb. 14: Richmond County, Jenkins County, Screven County, McDuffie, Columbia, Lincoln County, Warren County.

Due to weather conditions, In Center Work Day for Jefferson County Head Start, Burke County Head Start and Emanuel County Head Start has been canceled.  Staff are not required to report to work.

Each of Bulloch County Schools' campuses will REOPEN on Friday for students and staff and will follow a normal schedule. Students will not be required to make up the four days they have missed due to the inclement weather.

Jenkins County Schools will be closed on Friday, Feb. 14.

Hampton District One schools will be closed on Friday.

Hampton District Two schools will be closed on Friday.

Screven County schools will be canceled for Friday due to a lack of power.

Vidalia City schools will be closed Thursday for weather. Friday and Monday are both holidays. Classes will resume Tuesday.

The Walterboro and Allendale campuses of the University of South Carolina will be closed Friday.

Palmetto Breeze expects to resume services again on Friday.

East Georgia State College – Augusta will be closed on Friday, February 14th.  The campuses in Swainsboro and Statesboro will resume normal operations on Friday.

Gov. Nathan Deal has delayed the opening of state government until 10 a.m. Friday, giving agency heads the discretion to close offices in areas with significant power outages and allowing employees to telework where their commute is dangerous.
