Shelters open across central Ala.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

This is a list of shelters open for those in need of a place to stay or get warm during the wintry weather.

If you know of a shelter in your area, please email newstip@wbrc.com with the details.

You can also visit RedCross.org and search for nearby shelters. Many of the shelters listed below are Red Cross shelters or warming stations.

ALABASTER

A Red Cross warming station opened at 9 a.m. Tuesday at 108 Plaza Circle in Alabaster. The doors will remain open until 9 p.m. Tuesday. Same hours Wednesday and Thursday if needed. Lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m. for anyone who needs it. Coffee will be available 24 hours for any emergency personnel.

BIRMINGHAM

-Boutwell Auditorium will be open Tuesday and Wednesday overnight from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. 1930 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35203. 205-254-7797

CHILDERSBURG

PELL CITY
