1 injured in Highway 49 accident

RICHLAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One person was injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Richland, on Highway 49. It occurred around 2:30 in the northbound lanes.

It appears that the woman, driving a Nissan Altima, was attempting to make a left turn near the Siemens Plant when she hit a Nissan pickup.

The woman was taken to the hospital but we don't know the extent of her injuries.

The pickup truck driver was not injured.
