School and business closures due to freezing temps

The following is a list of school and business closures due to freezing temperatures:

AbilityWorks of Jackson workshop - closed Tuesday

Attala County Schools-closed Tuesday

Belhaven University - day classes canceled and offices closed Tuesday

Benton Academy - closed Tuesday

Catholic Diocese of Jackson Chancery Office - delayed opeing at 10 a.m. Tuesday

Choctaw Tribal Schools and Tribal Government Offices - closed Tuesday, February 11, 2014 due to wintry weather and unsafe road conditions

City of Jackson - Mayor Chokwe Lumumba has delayed the opening of the city for Tuesday, February 11, 2013, until 10 a.m.

Covenant Christian School - closed Tuesday

Durant Public Schools - closed Tuesday

East Mississippi Community College- closed Tuesday

Holmes Community College- closed Tuesday (day and evening classes)

Humphreys Academy - closed Tuesday

Leake County Public Schools- closed Tuesday

Manchester Academy - closed Tuesday

McCoy Federal Building - Delayed Opening.  Employees will report to work at 10:00 a.m.

Mississippi State University- Main campus in Starkville will be closed Tuesday

Mississippi Valley State University - Campus will be closed on Tuesday

State of MS - Gov. Phil Bryant has delayed the opening of state offices in areas impacted by winter weather, including the Jackson Capitol Complex will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday

Sunflower County School District - All classes closed on Tuesday and all central office staff reports at 10:00 a.m.

Tri County Academy - closed Tuesday 

Yazoo City schools- closed Tuesday

Yazoo County schools- closed Tuesday
