D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - We are several hours into the demolition of the old Highway 67 bridge that crosses over I-10 in D'Iberville.
Traffic officials said to this point they have not seen any problems. Michael Harder with MDOT said that traffic has been backed up somewhat on the interstate, but that was expected.
As of 11 p.m. on Saturday, Harder said there have been no wrecks or other hold-ups to further delay traffic.
Harder also said that the demolition team at the bridge is making impressive headway with the project. He said he expects I-10 will be re-opened at the scheduled time of 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
