A new airline restriction, the latest on Philip Seymour Hoffman's death and CVS's plans to stop selling tobacco products all made headlines this week.

(RNN) - The U.S. has temporarily banned liquids in carry-ons for flights heading to Russia.

This comes after officials warned of a possible terrorist attack involving explosives in toothpaste tubes.

Four people thought to be connected to the drugs found in late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's apartment were arrested late Tuesday. Police said they found 350 bags or envelopes thought to contain heroin. Hoffman was found dead in his apartment on Sunday.

CVS announced it will no longer sell tobacco products in its stores. The national pharmacy chain said the move would cost the company $2 billion in revenue annually but wants to support the health of its customers.
